I decided to research this particular topic because it is very important to me as a future Spanish teacher. I had a wonderful opportunity to spend a year and a half studying Spanish in Madrid, Spain. There I learned to appreciate the Spanish language as well as the culture. I am now married to a Spainard and have close ties to his family in Spain. Because of this experience, Spanish is a very important part of my life and I want to teach it in a way that it can be appreciated and loved for all it has to offer. I want to be able to share my experience with students so that they too may come to enjoy a new language and culture like I have. This is my main goal when I start teaching Spanish. The following pictures represent the time I have spent in Spain and how my life has changed because of this experience.
